Spring Field Trip to Kawatabi

The Kawatabi Seminar Center welcomes interested participants to a two-day field trip this May.

The trip - which includes an easy hike through the Kawatabi forest in Osaki City, Marumori and Onikobe - will be led by Professor Shinichiro Ogura of the Graduate School of Agricultural Science.

It is open to Japanese and international students, as well as faculty and staff, but please note that all explanation will be given in Japanese.

Date: May 25 ~ 26
Venue: Kawatabi Seminar Center, Marumori, and Onikobe
Cost: JPY 4,000 (this covers meals, transportation, insurance, and lodging)
Language: Japanese
Group size: 20 people (max)
Application deadline: May 20, 2019.

*If fewer than seven people apply, the event will be cancelled.
** Participants must have the following: appropriate outdoor clothes, walking/hiking shoes or rain boots, knapsack, rainwear, cotton work gloves, bath and face/hand towels and health insurance card.
