Job Description

The Healthspan Research Center is seeking an Assistant Professor to conduct research on the mechanisms of aging. The start date is flexible and will be on or after October 1, 2026. The laboratory will pursue research in the following areas:

  1. elucidation of aging mechanisms through large-scale data analysis using artificial intelligence;
  2. in vivo intervention studies using mouse models to suppress age-related decline, with a focus on targets that have strong potential for real-world impact; and
  3. investigation of molecular mechanisms that provide a foundation for, or have clear potential to contribute to, these research areas.

Within this scope, specific research themes will be considered flexibly, including proposals from applicants. For large-scale data analysis, particular emphasis will be placed on transcriptomic and proteomic data, with the aim of improving our understanding of the overall mechanisms of aging, including mechanisms shared across multiple tissues and inter-tissue communication during aging. Experience in fundamental molecular biology techniques and handling laboratory mice is required. Experience in omics data analysis using R, Python, or related computational tools is desirable but not mandatory.
