Recruitment Notice: Postdoctoral Researcher (IMR)

The Institute for Materials Research at Tohoku University is recruiting for the following position.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work closely with Distinguished Professor Yong P. Chen and other members of the Institute for Materials Research (IMR), Tohoku University, conducting research on quantum materials and devices.

IMR is seeking a highly motivated candidate with experience in magnetotransport and related experimental studies of two-dimensional magnetic, topological, and/or superconducting quantum materials, as well as hybrid heterostructures based on these materials.

Candidates with strong expertise and skills in the following areas are particularly encouraged to apply: 1) materials fabrication techniques, such as crystal or thin-film growth, or 2D materials exfoliation and transfer; 2) cleanroom-based device fabrication using lithography; and 3) low-temperature magnetotransport.
