Job Description
The successful candidate will engage in experimental language research from a cognitive perspective, drawing from multiple disciplines. The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting university-wide initiatives, such as assisting with projects related to the University for International Research Excellence and collaborative research involving Distinguished Professors affiliated with this initiative.

Qualifications
- Applicants must hold a doctoral degree (Ph.D.)
- In principle, have at least one year of research experience at a university or research institution as an assistant professor, research associate, or research fellow (this requirement may be waived for candidates with exceptional qualifications)
- A strong record of interdisciplinary research involving fields such as psychology or neuroscience, including experience in collecting and analyzing psychological or neuroscientific data, as well as participation in international collaborations
- Capable of conducting independent research and actively contributing to cognitively oriented language research and related interdisciplinary projects within the Graduate School
- Applicants of any nationality are welcome, but they must be capable of performing the above responsibilities in both Japanese and English

The Tohoku University Graduate School of International Cultural Studies was established in 1993 as the first independent graduate school in Tohoku University.
