The Institute for Excellence in Higher Education at Tohoku University seeks to appoint a lecturer responsible for implementing, managing, and teaching English courses. The institute encourages individuals enthusiastic about English teaching to apply.
Successful candidates will be expected to collaborate with other faculty members as part of fulfilling their duties.
The job will also include the following:
- Conducting university-level research on English language education in practice
- Researching, developing, evaluating, and improving the English education programs at the institute
- Performing additional work at the Center for Culture and Language Education and the Institute for Excellence in Higher Education

Qualifications: |
- A PhD or equivalent qualification in English education or a related field - Extensive experience in teaching English language at the university level - Necessary educational experience and research achievements to fulfill the responsibilities, as well as enthusiasm for advancing English language education reform - The ability to teach all levels of proficiency at any given time - Proficiency in Japanese is preferred (If you have a JLPT certificate or an equivalent qualification, please submit it at the time of application) |
