The dean of Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology's Information Technology Faculty Rittikorn Varakulsiripunth met with Executive Vice President Toshiya Ueki during a visit to Tohoku University on September 15.
Associate Executive Vice President for International Affairs Masahiro Yamaguchi was also at the meeting, where they discussed details of future academic exchanges. As an alumnus of Tohoku University, Dean Varakulsiripunth also expressed his enthusiasm for plans to establish an alumni association in Thailand.
The group then met with staff from the Global Learning Center about setting up student exchanges in the future. In addition to AEVP Yamaguchi, Professor Yoshitaka Kasukabe, Professor Yumiko Watanabe, Associate Professor Kazuhisa Shimada and Specially Appointed Associate Professor Yuka Sakamoto from the GLC were also present.
Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology was founded in 2006 with a focus on Japanese manufacturing style and Thai - Japanese Industry collaboration. It offers a wide range of programs for students in the fields of engineering, information technology, management and language courses such as English and Japanese.
