The venue of the 2022 Entrance Ceremony, scheduled to take place on April 6, has been changed from Kamei Arena Sendai to Xebio Arena Sendai, due to the earthquake that occurred on March 16.
There are changes to the times and format as well. Instead of separate ceremonies for graduate and undergraduate students, a joint ceremony for all first-year students will be held at 10 a.m.
Only students directly involved in the ceremony will be allowed into the arena. To prevent the spread of COVID-19 and ensure safe physical distancing at the ceremony, family and friends may not attend, but are encouraged to watch the live broadcast from home instead.

All attendees should be appropriately dressed for the ceremony and must adhere to the university's coronavirus infection prevention measures. These include wearing a mask and installing the COVID-19 contact-confirming app, COCOA.
Students should not attend the ceremony if they are unwell, have a fever or have been exposed to someone who is positive for COVID-19.
