Research Professors 2015

Tohoku University has named seven faculty members Research Professors. They were recognized by a select committee of vice presidents and department heads, as experts in their field of study. The title will be effective from April 1, 2015.

The Research Professor System is a program that supports professorial staff who have made a sustained contribution towards academic excellence. To qualify, candidates should have received a certain amount of funding, or supported a specific project through securing funds or playing a central role.

The activities of Research Professors are expected to inspire other teaching staff and students.
