A great new adventure is about to start and we're here to help you get ready for it!
Welcome Week provides new international students with useful information about Sendai City and Tohoku University through a series of fun, interactive events, from April 3 - 8.
Highlights include campus tours, information about student clubs, career support and counselling services. There will also be a "survival Japanese" language lesson, and sessions on Sendai City's traffic rules, how to prepare garbage for collection and what to do in the event of a natural disaster.
All sessions are free and most will be led by current students who can share their own experiences of moving to an unfamiliar city. This will also be a great way to meet other students and make new friends.
Dates: April 3 - 8, 2023
Venue: Events will be spread across all four campuses - Katahira, Kawauchi, Aobayama and Seiryo
Language: English and Japanese
To apply: https://forms.gle/zaLmRQPCdUHySzcSA
Students can select as many or as few sessions as they like, but there are limited spots so please register early. Foreign researchers are encouraged to sign up for sessions held at Katahira campus.
