Information About Tohoku University Entrance Ceremony 2026

Venue：Xebio Arena Sendai (About the Venue)
The ceremony will be divided into 2 sessions – one for undergraduate students and one for graduatesgraduate students. Students should make sure they attend the correct session.
As always, there will be a live stream of the ceremony for those unable to attend in person.
- Session 1｜
For undergraduate students - Time: 9:45 - 10:20 a.m. (doors open at 8.30 a.m., please be seated by 9:35 a.m.)
- Session 2｜
For graduate students - Time: 11:30 a.m. - 12:05 p.m. (doors open at 11 a.m., please be seated by 11:20 a.m.)

- One family member per enrolled student can attend.
*If the maximum seating capacity is reached, guests may not be able to enter. - Please note that the ceremony will be filmed and streamed live and throuughout the day of the event.

- There is limited parking at the arena so please take public transport. The nearest station is Nagamachi on the JR Line or the Sendai Subway Namboku Line.
- From JR Nagamachi Station: A 5-minute walk from the East Exit.
- From Subway Nagamachi Station: A 5-minute walk from the North 1 or North 2 Exit.
- From Sendai Station: A 5-minute train ride (JR or Subway). Train fare is 190–210 yen.

Important Notice
- Xebio Arena Sendai and Morinohiroba Park are public spaces. Please do not block other visitors when using the photo spots.
- Photo spots may be crowded. Consider visiting after the ceremony or using alternative spots at Tohoku University's Kawauchi Campus.
- Follow staff instructions when lining up.
- Access to photo areas may change based on crowds and weather conditions.
- Be respecthd and considerate: avoid spending too much time at the photo spots, especially if the lines are long.
