Homecoming Day to Mark
110th Anniversary of First Female Students
Tohoku University’s annual homecoming will take place on September 30, where alumni from far and wide will gather to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the first female students in Japan.

Funding an Inclusive Future with Our 110th Anniversary Goods
Tohoku University Fund has launched a line of products on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the first female university students in Japan. This includes a specially packaged version of the popular craft beer, Hime White.

The 110th Anniversary Logo
The logo uses flowing calligraphic strokes to depict a bouquet, symbolizing the women of the past, present, and future blossoming to their fullest potential. The color crimson is used as a tribute to Chika Kuroda’s research on pigments.
