American Views on Sino-Japanese Relations

Ezra F. Vogel, Henry Ford II Professor of the Social Sciences Emeritus at Harvard University, is to give a lecture on American Views on Sino-Japanese relations. Vogel has written on Japan, China and Asia generally; and is known for his books, 'Japan as Number One: Lessons for America' and 'Deng Xiaoping and the Transformation of China'.

To highlight the occasion, the lecture will be held at the Lecture Hall where Tohoku University alumnus and leading figure of modernChinese literature, Lu Xun studied. The Lecture Hall has become a symbol of positive Chinese-Japanese relations, and frequently has Chinese visitors.
