Cutting-edge researchers from around the world will converge in November for an annual symposium on materials science and spintronics, under the theme "Materials Science and Spintronics for Sustainable Futures from Tohoku" (MSSp2025).
The symposium serves as an important opportunity to explore sustainable solutions through advancements in materials science and spintronics. It also provides a platform for cultivating international interdisciplinary research, as well as helping cultivate internationally capable and highly creative professionals to hone their research.
The organizing committee comprises members from Tohoku University's Core Research Cluster for Materials Science, the International Joint Graduate Program in Materials Science, the Center for Science and Innovation in Spintronics, and the Graduate Program in Spintronics.

Participants can also register for a party taking place during the conference. A fee of 6,600 yen for general participants and 1,540 yen for students will be charged. Registration for the party needs to be done by October 27 (JST)
