73rd Tohoku University Festival

The Tohoku University Festival is back! The three-day in-person event will be held at Kawauchi Campus from November 5 - 7.

This year's theme is "Passion and Blue" (a colour associated with youth in Japan) and various student groups will perform and showcase their projects.

Last year's festival was moved online due to the pandemic. But with the number of infection cases subsiding in Sendai, and the university's BCP currently at level 1, this year's festival will be held in-person, with strict infection prevention measures in place.

To enable appropriate physical distancing, only enrolled students will be allowed to attend, and advance registration (via DC Mail) is required.

Date and time:
Nov 5 (Fri): 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Nov 6 (Sat): 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Nov 7 (Sun): 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Venue: Kawauchi Kita Campus, Tohoku University

To register:

Please visit: http://www.festa-tohoku.org/

Deadlines: For Nov 5 and 6, please register before Nov 3 at 3 p.m.
For Nov 7, please register before Nov 6 at noon.

Maximum capacity: 4,000 people per day

Note that the number of attendees each day will be limited to avoid crowds, so early registration is encouraged.

For those who look forward to the festival every year but are unable to attend this time, there will be a live broadcast of some events and activities on the official university festival website. Links to the live stream will be available closer to the event.
