75th Tohoku University Festival

The Tohoku University Festival - an annual celebration of student life, campus activities and school spirit - will be held this year from October 27 - 29, at Kawauchi North Campus.

The festival theme is "Yet we know the blueness of the sky," based on the Japanese proverb "A frog in a well may not know the vast ocean, yet it knows the blueness of the sky." The message is that the festival is a place where everyone has an opportunity to shine.

Over the three days, various student groups will perform and showcase their projects. Festival goers can expect to see music and dance, traditional arts and even some sports.

For the first time since the pandemic, advance reservation is not required, and everyone is welcome to attend in person.
