The Tohoku University Festival - an annual celebration of student life, campus activities and school spirit - will be held this year from October 23- 25 at Kawauchi Campus.

The festival theme is 架ける、虹の在り処 - or Building a Bridge to Where Rainbows Begin - a message that reflects the creativity that is possible when students work together.

Over the three days, various student groups will perform and showcase their projects. Festival goers can expect to see music and dance, traditional arts and sports. There will even be mock lectures by researchers on a variety of fields such as psychology, neutrinos and earthquake prediction, as well as science workshops for schoolchildren featuring hands-on experiments.
