The Tohoku University Center for Innovative Integrated Electronic Systems (CIES) will host a two-day online event that will introduce its wide-ranging collaborative research activities with domestic and overseas companies.
Participants can expect to learn about the latest in energy saving integrated electronics technology that paves the way for carbon neutrality and innovations in artificial intelligence, the Internet of things, digital transformation, and Society 5.0.
The first day features the results of the CIES Consortium for FY2022, which promoted three main activities: industry-academic collaboration, national projects, and community-based cooperation projects.
On the second day, leading experts from Japan and abroad will discuss research in spintronic semiconductors, power electronics, and system application aimed at realizing drastic power-savings in devices and appliances.
