International Workshop: New Excitations in Spintronics

International Workshop: New Excitations in Spintronics

Tohoku University is a world leader in spintronics research, the science and technology to control the charge and spin of the electrons in small structures and devices.

In an upcoming workshop aimed at students and reserachers, participants will explore novel physics caused by coupling excitations such as magnons, photons, phonons, spinons, cavitrons, excitons and orbitrons.

Selected researchers will also present results of dispersion and lifetimes of such excitations. It is hoped that the sharing of ideas and expertise will lead to new and improved spintronics devices.

For a detailed itinerary of the week-long workshop, please visit the official website, which will reflect all updates.

The workshop is supported by the Reimei program of JAEA, as well as Tohoku University's Graduate Program on Spintronics (GP-Spin). Attendance is free but registration is required.
