Spring Festival for New Undergraduates

Tohoku University will be holding a Spring Festival to give first year undergraduates a chance to experience and learn more about the student clubs and circle activities available on campus.

Aware that the pandemic has made it difficult for some new students to make friends and settle into campus life, the university hopes that this festival will help them meet people with similar interests, and find activities that would make student life more fun and fulfilling.

The festival will be divided into a Sports Day and a Culture Day. Both days will feature information booths, hands-on activities, performances and even contests. Participants will be supported by senior representatives of student clubs as well as members of their department.

Sports Day:
June 5 (Saturday), 1 - 4 p.m.
Maximum 250 participants

Culture Day:
June 6 (Sunday) 1 - 4 p.m.
Maximum 200 applicants

Meet between 12:30 ~ 1 p.m. in front of Kawauchi Welfare Facilities at Kawauchi North Campus.

Both events are free but spots are limited and registration is required.
If it rains, the event on that day will be postponed to June 19, 26 or 27, and an announcement will be made via DC mail.
