Tohoku University's official websites have been trying out a new AI-driven chatbot to help users find the information they are looking for. To make the experience more engaging for users, the university launched a mascot design and nickname contest for the chatbot over the summer.
There were many good designs submitted, so the organisers have decided to hold two rounds of voting - the first to narrow down the entries to the best five, and the second to determine the winner.
Voting for the first round will take place from October 11 - 25 and is open to all students, faculty and staff of Tohoku University. Each person can vote for a maximum of three designs.

The five entries with the highest votes will qualify for the second round. Results will be announced at the end of October.
