Job Description
Successful candidates will be engaged in research and education related to the main subjects listed below, as well as in the administration of the School and Department.
Main subjects: Reactor physics, Reactor core design, Nuclear criticality safety, Neutron engineering, Nuclear fuel engineering
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree and demonstrate a strong motivation to pursue innovative research in the specialized fields mentioned above. Preference will be given to candidates capable of promoting research that leverages major nuclear facilities across Japan. Furthermore, the successful candidate is expected to be committed to human resource development in the nuclear field, including international collaborative initiatives led by our department.

About the Department
The Department of Quantum Science and Energy Engineering was established as a comprehensive engineering field focused on developing science and technologies related to nuclear power generation and radiation applications.
In response to societal needs and changing times, the field of nuclear engineering has expanded into quantum science and energy studies. The department pursues engineering applications of physical phenomena at the microscopic level, while advancing leading-edge research across a broad spectrum, from environmental and energy fields to medical engineering. It also applies its accumulated knowledge and expertise to address pressing challenges in the nuclear power sector and to explore strategies for improving safety and reliability.
