The Nuclear Materials Engineering Research Laboratory at the Institute for Materials Research (IMR), Tohoku University, is recruiting for the following position.

The successful applicant will conduct materials science research aimed at applications in nuclear fission and fusion reactors, with particular emphasis on the development of radiation-resistant materials and the elucidation of their properties under irradiation through advanced accelerator-based irradiation technologies and the characterization and evaluation of irradiated materials.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a PhD degree or be expected to receive a PhD degree before employment.
