Delicious 100-yen Breakfast is Back!

This October, Tohoku University, in partnership with Co-op, will again be offering students affordable breakfast. For 100 yen, students can have a cooked breakfast at Kawauchi no Mori Dining, Kitchen Terrace Couleur or Aobayama's Midori Dining.

From October 14 - 23, Kawauchi no Mori Dining will offer two daily changing options from a variety of nutritionally balanced menus, including a new bread set that was frequently requested in student surveys. Kitchen Terrace Couleur will offer morning curry, Frugra® and pork miso soup sets on alternate days, with ramen available in the first week.

From October 27 - 31, Midori Dining, at the new extension of Aobayama campus, will offer daily pork dishes using Tonjinosui pork, along with morning curry, Frugra® and the new bread set.

Tohoku University began this 100-yen breakfast programme in spring 2021 to "fill the hearts and stomachs of students" and support those financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The programme has since grown in scope and popularity and continues to be an important part of the Tohoku University Alumni Association's "Support Student Life!" campaign.
