A Tour of Sendai

Many students - past and present - love the endearing charm of Sendai. Known as the City of Trees, Sendai is a thriving metropolis, home to over a million people. It is also is a quick hop away from mountains, forests, and the sea.

The Global Engagement Division is offering a tour of the city for all those interested, with stops at many famous sites and two of Tohoku University's campuses.

Registration is required.

Program

 10:00 Meet in front of the Sendai Station Tourist Information Centre
10:15 - 11:15 Street walk (Sendai Station, arcades, Mitakisan Fudoin Temple, Iroha-Yokocho, etc.)
11:15 - 12:15 Lunch (at the Katahira Campus cafeteria or a nearby restaurant) *
12:15 - 14:15 City walk (Ohashi bridge, Sendai Ryokusaikan, Statue of Tsunenaga Hasekura, Aoba Castle ruins, Kawauchi Campus)
14:15 - 15:15 Break at Kawauchi Campus
15:15 - 16:00 Walk back from Kawauchi Campus to Sendai Station and disband

*Meals and transportation costs are to be covered by the participants
