There's never been a more urgent need for innovative ideas and research, and the Falling Walls Lab is a timely platform for young researchers and creative thinkers to make a difference in the world.
Through three-minute lectures, participants have the opportunity to present their academic research, business models or social initiatives to peers and a jury of experts.
As always, Tohoku University is hosting Falling Walls Lab Sendai this August. The event this year will be held online. Students, entrepreneurs, early-career researchers and academics from all disciplines are invited to apply.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
The winner of the Sendai contest will get a chance to speak to a global audience at the Falling Walls Lab Finale, part of the wider Falling Walls Conference held annually in Berlin on November 8. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however, the conference will take place online this year.
