Special Lecture: Sake Appreciation and Virtual Tour of a Brewery

Calling all lovers of Japanese wine! The Global Learning Center is hosting an event on February 9 that will include a lecture on sake (also known as nihonshu) and a virtual tour of a brewery.

A staff member of Asahi Shuzo, one of Japan's famous sake companies, will give a lecture on sake appreciation and etiquette. Participants will then get a virtual tour of the brewery to see how the wine is made.

This event is part of Tohoku University's Be Global Project and is open to all students, faculty and staff.

The event will be held in English. It is free but registration is required.
