Spring Festival 2022: A Welcome Party for New Students

Tohoku University will be holding a Spring Festival to give first year undergraduates a chance to experience and learn more about the student clubs and circle activities available on campus.

Aware that the pandemic has made it difficult for some new students to settle into campus life, the university hopes that this festival will help them make friends with similar interests, and find activities that would make student life more fun and fulfilling.

The festival will be divided into a Sports Day and a Culture Day. Both days will feature information booths, hands-on activities, demonstrations and performances.

Sports Day:
May 7 (Saturday), 11:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Maximum 300 people
Culture Day:
May 8 (Sunday), 11:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Maximum 250 people
Reception:
Time: 11 - 11:30 a.m. on both days.
Venue: Kawauchi Welfare Facilities at Kawauchi North Campus

If it rains, Sports Day will be postponed to May 15, and an announcement will be made before 9 a.m. via DC mail. Culture Day will proceed as planned regardless of the weather.
