Over the next three weeks, Tohoku University students can enjoy Chocolate Crunch, a new version of the popular Zunoko doughnut, for just 50 yen each. Zunoko doughnuts are sometimes called "brain doughnuts" because they contain vitamin B1, which is said to stimulate brain activity.
Selected shops on campus will sell 600 of these special doughnuts every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from November 13 - December 1.
As with the popular 100-yen breakfast campaigns, this doughnut offer is possible due to a generous donation from the Tanaka Kikinzoku Memorial Foundation through the Tohoku University Fund.
