Tohoku University and University College London (UCL) are contributing matching funds to support research and exchange activities jointly conducted by researchers at both universities. Proposals must be in areas of mutual interest that will strengthen the partnership between Tohoku and UCL, and must include participants from both institutions.
If you wish to apply, please do so through UCL's online application form by April 12, 2019 (Friday), after consulting with your colleague from UCL on the content of your application. On-line applications will be processed by researchers at UCL, who will act as the project's representative. For details, please refer to the following:

Research Areas:
Applications from all fields are welcome. Priority will be given to proposals from the following fields: Disaster Science, Neuroscience, Materials Science, Data Science, Higher Education, and Equality and Diversity.
Funding Period:
From June 1, 2019 (Sat) to May 31, 2020 (Sun)
※ However, the funding period at Tohoku University will end on March 31, 2020 (Tue) in line with the Japanese fiscal year.
