DEI Lounge Book Club: Japanese Literature of Flowers and Girls (花と少女の日本文学)

The Centre for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is hosting another book event, this one as part of its new "Book Club" series starting June 24.

The featured book is "Japanese Literature of Flowers and Girls" (花と少女の日本文学) and author Shiho Nishihara, who is a professor at the Graduate School of Arts and Letters, will be on hand to lead the discussion.

While it would be beneficial for participants to read the book in advance, it is not necessary. All university members are welcome to attend and to share their thoughts.

This event is free and will be held predominantly in Japanese, but English speakers are also welcome.

Date: June 24, 2026
Time: Starts at 4:30 p.m. (The DEI Lounge will open at 4 p.m.)
