Job Description
The position requires working closely with other staff to support undergraduate admissions operations. Key duties include preparing and coordinating selection systems for prospective students, including tasks related to Gateway College, an Intercultural Collaborative Learning undergraduate curriculum established in 2027.
Appointees will conduct comprehensive evaluations of applicants through application reviews, written tests such as computer-based testing (CBT), and interviews. Preparing evaluation criteria and reference materials to ensure fair and effective selection is also part of the role.
Additional tasks involve assisting with the documentation, management, and processing of evaluation reports for student selection. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining the quality and accuracy of admissions records.
The position will entail supporting domestic and international student recruitment and public relations activities to promote programs and attract prospective students from within Japan and overseas.
Qualifications
- Practical experience at universities or education-related enterprises relevant to admission selection and international student evaluation (e.g. Foreign Credential Evaluation)
- Knowledge and experience in: application evaluation, implementing written tests including CBT, iInterview evaluation assistance, documenting and processing evaluation results
- Interest in, and long-term willingness to engage with, AI technology for evaluation tasks

Discuss how you will apply your knowledge/experience to assist undergraduate admission (including the Gateway College) and tasks related to evaluating applications, written tests (including CBT), and interviews. Also discuss how you will employ new methodologies such as FCE and CBT, and your ideas for coordination with relevant departments. The format is flexible. - Proof of English Proficiency:
Provide evidence of your English language proficiency through any official certification or documentation. - References:
Include the names, affiliations, and contact information of two individuals in Japan (if possible) who can serve as references.
