Newly enrolled undergraduates were recently given a first-hand look at some of the student clubs and extracurricular activities available at Tohoku University.
Spring Festival - the annual showcase weekend at Kawauchi campus for clubs and circles to recruit new members - was held on April 11 - 12 this year, featuring information booths and demonstrations by 173 student groups.
The event attracted more than 2,300 students, many of whom took the opportunity to try their hand at the various cultural and sporting activities on offer.
The university hopes that the Spring Festival will help students discover new activities and connect with like-minded friends, to make campus life more fun and fulfilling.
