Understanding the basic mechanism of aging for healthy longevity

6th Symposium - Smart-Aging Research Center in collaboration with Open Innovation Strategy Organization

The 6th Symposium of the Smart-Aging Research Center in collaboration with the Open Innovation Strategy Organization, will be held on February 27 at the Center for Smart-Aging Research, IDAC.

Tohoku University's Smart-Aging Research Center (S.A.R.C.) was established in 2017 to promote research aimed at increasing healthy longevity. A multi-tiered approach through research in medical, ergonomical and social sciences is used in the prevention and treatment of age-related diseases such as dementia.

S.A.R.C. conducts interdisciplinary activities not only in basic research, but also through industry-academia collaborations and ventures.

In this symposium, up and coming researchers working locally and abroad, will discuss their research with a focus on providing practical applications for a better and healthier society.
