Applications Now Open for New Science Ambassadors

The Tohoku University Center for Gender Equality Promotion (TUMUG) is inviting female graduate students who are interested in being part of the Science Ambassador Project, to apply.

The Science Ambassador Project, which started in 2006 as the Science Angels Programme, aims to cultivate a sense of inclusion and shared mission among young female researchers. Members promote the role of women in science by conducting seminars to share their experiences and research. They also engage in outreach programmes with school-age children, especially young girls, to encourage their interest in science.

Science Ambassadors come from all departments and faculties within Tohoku University, including the humanities and social sciences. So everyone is welcome to apply.
