Tohoku University is launching another round of its popular "Tomoni" crowdfunding programme which invites students to submit a plan to realise a dream, tackle a social problem or engage in positive activism to improve themselves and their community.
The Tomoni Programme (known colloquially as 'Tomopro!'), was first introduced in October 2021. It aims to give students the chance to impact their own future by crowdsourcing their ideas and building a project with sponsors who share their vision.
Selected proposals will be presented on the university's crowdfunding platform and will receive grants from the Tohoku University Fund, as well as mentorship, professional advice and other (non-financial) support from alumni and members of the university.
